The Lantern Festival is one of the most important festivals in China. It falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month every year. On that day, people will have a dish made of rice dumplings, also named "tangyuan", which is similar to "tuanyuan". People usually let off fireworks and hold a Lantern riddles guessing game. These activities are the ways to share happiness with everyone. This afternoon our school also held an activity to celebrate the Lantern Festival. Every student could join the lantern riddles guessing game and the winner would get prizes. As a symbol of fullness and family togetherness, the Lantern Festival is such a meaningful festival that everyone looks forward to it. In the evening, my family and I walked in the street with lanterns. The street was lined with lots of festive lanterns. The sound of firecrackers was endless and the fireworks shone the sky like daytime. We were laughing, chasing and having a great time. We all like this special day.
