My hometown has witnessed remarkable changes over the years. The city appearance has become more beautiful, with improved conditions of infrastructural facilities in both urban and rural areas. Newly-built parks and leisure squares have provided public spaces for people to enjoy. The highway network has expanded, reaching almost every corner of the city, and the water and air quality have been enhanced. Arts and entertainment activities are frequently held, and lectures on traditional culture offer people opportunities to deepen their understanding. In addition, new economic phenomena like "Taobao villages" and clusters of cross-border E-commerce have emerged, coupling with the original advantages in industries such as hardware, textiles, and export business, facilitating economic transformation and upgrading. Previously, my hometown was located in a small mountain village, surrounded by high mountains with only one access route. The transportation was inconvenient, with only a narrow muddy road. During rainy days, the mud would stick to shoes and even cover trouser legs. The villagers led a simple life of working from dawn to dusk, mainly cultivating rice twice a year and relying on oxen for farming. Now, great changes have taken place. Highways have been built to the village entrance, making travel much easier. Mechanized farming has replaced manual labor, and young people have gone out for work. The surrounding mountains have been developed for industries, and the environment has changed. People now live in well-decorated buildings with modern appliances.
